01  /  About

One team, from first sketch to final handover.

Harborview Smart Homes designs and installs intelligent home systems that feel effortless: one touch to set the mood, one app to run the house, and one team behind it all, from lighting and climate through to home theater, audio, security and networking.

From Newport Harbor to the hills above Irvine, every system is built around how you actually live, finished to the standard of the home it sits in, with one point of accountability from the first site meeting to years after handover.

02  /  A day in the life

Nobody buys a home for its network switch.

The equipment is not the product. This is the product: an ordinary Tuesday in a Harborview home, with everything doing exactly what it should.

6:40AM

The house wakes before you do

Shades in the main bedroom rise to a soft preset. Light comes up low and golden along the hallway rather than at full brightness, the bath floor has been warm for twenty minutes, and the climate reached temperature while you slept.

One touch on the way out

A single press at the front door turns off every light in the house, lowers the shades, sets the climate back to an economy band, arms the alarm and confirms the garage is closed behind you. No walking the floors. No second-guessing.

The gate, answered from anywhere

A courier presses the gate station. You answer on your phone from the office, see them in full color, speak to them, and release the gate for the side porch. The same call would reach the wall touchscreen if you were home.

5:55PM

The house notices the sun before you do

As the sun drops toward the water, lighting shifts warmer and lower, room by room. Shades ease down for privacy without being asked, and the garden and pool lights fade up on cue. You did nothing, which is the entire point.

Guests, and one word

“Dinner.” Lighting settles to 40 percent, the playlist follows you into the living room and out to the terrace, and the temperature holds exactly where the room feels effortless. One spoken word, not four apps and a remote.

A bedside keypad. Everything off except a low path light to the bath. The doors report locked, the alarm sets itself to night mode, and the house goes quiet around you.

03  /  What we do

The details that make a house feel like yours.

Lighting is the single biggest influence on how a home feels. Clean engraved keypads replace banks of switches, one press sets the whole floor, and a dedicated theater and multi-room audio bring the evenings to life.

Smart Lighting

Layered scenes for morning, work, entertaining and goodnight, on engraved keypads that replace the switch banks.

Home Theater

4K projection and immersive surround, engineered for the room and finished into the millwork.

Multi-Room Audio

Triad architectural speakers, flush in the ceiling. Every favorite, in every room, and no visible hardware.

Networking & Wi-Fi

Araknis business-class Wi-Fi and wired data in every room. Not a consumer router in a closet.

Security & Surveillance

Cameras, gates, access and alarms, quietly integrated into the same app as everything else.

Monitoring & Support

Remote monitoring through OvrC, most faults fixed before you notice, and a local team long after handover.

04  /  The platform

Imagine arriving home and the house simply knows.

The gate opens, the lights rise to a warm evening scene, the climate is already right, and your music follows you from room to room, without touching a thing.

Control4 unites lighting, audio, video, climate, security and shades into one elegant system, controlled from a touchscreen, a remote, your phone or your voice. And because it works with thousands of brands, your home keeps growing with you, room by room, year by year.

This is what one touch feels like.

Control4

Automation platform

The brain of the house: the touchscreens, keypads, remotes, app and voice. One platform holding everything together, rather than a dozen apps that don't speak to each other.

Triad speakers

Architectural audio

In-ceiling and in-wall speakers with real hi-fi pedigree, flush-finished so the music is everywhere and the hardware is nowhere.

Araknis Networks

Networking

A dedicated router, managed switches and Wi-Fi 6 access points, engineered for the size of the home. Commercial grade, with remote diagnostics.

CoolAutomation

Climate interface

The bridge between Control4 and your HVAC, bringing zone-by-zone climate into the same interface as everything else in the house.

WattBox

Managed power

Monitored, remotely resettable power behind the racks. A hung device gets power-cycled from our desk, not by pulling plugs in a closet.

OvrC

Remote care

Every device in the house, visible on one dashboard. Faults are diagnosed and mostly fixed remotely, often before you've noticed anything at all.

07  /  Words from our clients

Homes running quietly in the background.

From the first design meeting to handover, the team simply got it. The whole home, lighting, audio, security, cameras, now runs from one app and has never missed a beat.

The ThompsonsNewport Coast

We were nervous the tech would take over the house. Instead it vanished into the millwork and just works. The theater room alone has been worth every cent.

David L.Laguna Beach

Harborview worked seamlessly with our builder from foundation to handover. No finger-pointing, no surprises, just one team who owned it end to end and delivered on time.

Priya & Anand R.Corona del Mar

Two years on and their support is still first class. A quick message and it's sorted, often remotely, before we even notice. That ongoing care is what sets them apart.

08  /  Questions, answered

Everything people ask before they call.

Straight answers on cost, coverage and how a project actually runs, so the first conversation can be about your home rather than the basics.

How much does a Control4 smart home system cost?

Most Harborview projects in Orange County range from around $15,000 for a single beautifully finished room to $250,000 and beyond for a fully integrated estate. After a consultation and a walk of your plans or your home, you receive a fixed, line-item proposal, so you know exactly where every dollar lives before we order a single part.

Which areas of Orange County do you serve?

We are based in Newport Beach and work across coastal Orange County: Newport Coast, Corona del Mar, Laguna Beach, Crystal Cove, Dana Point, Huntington Harbour, Irvine and San Clemente. Most of our projects sit within about an hour of our showroom.

Can you retrofit an existing home, or only new construction?

Both. New construction lets us wire everything from the studs, but Control4 wireless lighting, motorized shades, Wi-Fi upgrades and multi-room audio can all be added to a finished home with minimal disruption. We survey the house first and tell you honestly what fits cleanly and what does not.

What brands do you design around?

Control4 is the platform at the heart of every system. Around it we install Triad architectural speakers, Araknis enterprise networking, WattBox managed power and CoolAutomation climate integration, all monitored through OvrC. We standardize on these brands because they are engineered to work as one system, and because we can stand behind the warranty.

Do you work with architects, builders and interior designers?

Constantly, and we prefer to start at the drawing stage. We produce coordinated technology plans, attend site meetings and schedule around the build, so the system disappears into the architecture instead of being bolted on at the end.

What happens after installation?

Every system we install is monitored through OvrC, which means most faults are diagnosed and fixed remotely, often before you notice anything. You also get a local Newport Beach team on call, and service plans for clients who want scheduled checkups and priority response.
